“Dr. Bob” Radosta is a Licensed Professional Counselor. During his career he has worked at all levels of care in the fields of mental health and substance abuse since 1973. Dr. Bob has a Master of Science degree in psychology and a Doctoral degree in Family Therapy. He has published in the areas of sexual trauma, experiential therapy, statistical analysis and neurolinguistic programming.
Dr. Bob has consulted with 2 suburban police departments in Texas, the Ellis County Juvenile Department and the Miami Dade County court system. He has consulted with the Mental Health Association about their program to use equines in the treatment of veterans suffering PTSD. He was an advisor to Therapeutic Riding of Texas (TROT) for many years. TROT primarily served a physically handicapped population. In the mid 1990’s Dr. Bob established one of the first hospital based equine assisted psychotherapy programs in the United States.
Dr. Bob has owned horses since coming to Texas in 1975. He has raised, trained and shown registered horses. He has been successful in the show ring at major competitions. His equine assistants have been specifically trained to participate in equine assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Bob was once told by a young cowboy that it seemed like his horses had been to college.
Dr Bob is a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. He has been twice certified by Greg Kersten, known as the founding father of equine assisted psychotherapy. He has also received training from Tim and Bettina Jobe, also pioneers in this field.
